These are the top 20 airlines around the world for 2020

Air New Zealand

Air New Zealand has been named the “Airline Of The Year For 2020,” according to AirlineRatings, the Australia-based aviation safety, and product rating agency. Unfortunately, Singapore Airlines could not retain its crown as the best airline, slipping a spot to No. 2 behind the Kiwi flag carrier.

The rest of the top five list comprised, in order of merit, All Nippon Airways (No. 3), Qantas (No. 4), and Cathay Pacific Airways (No. 3). The ranking considered 12 key criteria, including fleet age, environmental leadership, investment rating, passenger review, product offerings, profitability, safety, and motivation of its staff.

Rounding out the top ten were Emirates, Virgin Atlantic, EVA Air, Qatar Airways, and Virgin Australia.
