Top 10 Countries That Are Projected To Experience The Biggest Population Growth By 2030

On a percentage basis, 9 out of 10 countries that are projected to experience the biggest growth in population by 2030 are in Africa, led by Niger (53.2% increase); São Tomé and Príncipe (50.0%); and Angola (49.3%).

The one non-African nation on this list is the Syrian Arab Republic, which is projected to see population gains of 8.3 million (45.4% increase), that’s according to the 2018 World Population Data Sheet produced by the Population Reference Bureau (PRB). The world’s population currently sits at about 7.7 billion.

By 2030, there will be an estimated 8.5 billion people in the world. Here’s how the list of the top 10 countries in the world that are projected to experience the biggest growth in population by 2030:
