Well, it turns out, the average physician takes home a bigger paycheck than an attorney or a nuclear engineer. With a median salary of $187,876, “Physicians” topped the list of the best-paying jobs in the U.S. for 2017, followed by pharmacy managers, who receive a median base salary of $149,064.

Patent Attorneys were 3rd on the list, with a median salary of $139,272, a new report from Glassdoor reveals. Another position that brings in healthy wages is Medical Science Liaison, which came in 4th place. A medical science liaison earns a median base salary of $132,842.

In 5th place we find Pharmacist, a role that brings in $125,847 in median income. At number 6 with a median base salary of $112,560, Enterprise architect was the best-paying IT-related job on the list.

It’s good to be in technology sector. It’s really good to work in the healthcare field. 11 of the 25 best-paying jobs listed are tech realm positions, while 6 were in healthcare field.
