Heather Reisman Returns to the Leadership of Indigo
Heather Reisman has returned to lead Indigo Books and Music Inc., the company she originally founded, following a series of executive changes and recent challenges.
The company announced that Reisman has reassumed the role of CEO after the departure of the outgoing chief executive, Peter Ruis, which was announced a few weeks ago. Andrea Limbardi, a two-decade veteran of Indigo who served as the company’s former president, also left around the same time.
Ruis had taken over as CEO from Reisman just over a year ago. At that time, Reisman had initiated her exit from the company, stepping down as CEO and retiring as chairperson of the board of directors on August 22. The recent announcement also mentioned that she will be returning to the board of directors.
Indigo’s sales have faced challenges in recent months due to the aftermath of a ransomware attack in the spring and signs of a slowdown in consumer spending.
Craig Loudon, in addition to his role as Chief Financial Officer, has also taken on the role of Chief Operating Officer. Markus Dohle will become the Chair of the Board of Directors, which will expand to include Eileen Naughton, the former chief people officer at Google.
