List Of Top 25 Richest Hedge Fund Managers And Traders By Their Estimated Earnings In 2014

List of the 25 top-earning hedge fund managers in 2014 include familiar faces such as George Soros, Steve Cohen, Ray Dalio, and Ken Griffin. Point72 Asset Management, LP’s Steven A. Cohen, one of the most successful hedge fund managers ever, was the top earning hedge fund manager, garnering $1.3 billion last year, Forbes reported.

Ray Dalio, founder and co-chief investment officer of Bridgewater Associates, LP, who operates the world’s largest hedge fund with $157 billion under management, earned $1.2 billion was tied with the 84 year old fund manager and philanthropist George Soros.

Overall, the 25 top-earning hedge fund managers and traders saw their earnings drop by 49 percent in 2014 compared with 2013, for a combined total of $12.8 billion last year.

Mr. Cohen previously headed his own trading division at Gruntal & Co. where he managed proprietary capital for 14 years.
