Stellantis Reshapes Leadership and Structure to Accelerate Transformation

Stellantis (NYSE: STLA) unveiled structural changes on Monday designed to streamline operations and enhance efficiency as the automaker continues its reorganization following the departure of former CEO Carlos Tavares in December.

As part of this initiative, the company has merged its software and engineering divisions under the leadership of Chief Engineering and Technology Officer Ned Curic, according to an official statement. Additionally, Stellantis has expanded the authority of its regional heads, granting them greater control over product planning, development, and industrial and commercial activities.

Chairman John Elkann, who is overseeing the company while the search for a permanent CEO continues, stated that these changes would simplify the organization, strengthen local decision-making, and improve execution.

The automaker also announced adjustments to its senior management structure. Antonio Filosa, currently leading North American operations and regarded as a potential contender for the CEO position, has assumed an additional role as global chief for quality. Meanwhile, Bob Broderdorf has taken over Filosa’s previous position as head of the Jeep brand.

In another key appointment, Stellantis has named Alain Favey as the new head of its Peugeot (OTC: PUGOY) brand.

With these structural refinements, Stellantis aims to enhance agility and accelerate progress as it continues to navigate its ongoing transformation.
