Dolphin Drilling CEO Steps Down, Interim Successor Appointed
Dolphin Drilling’s chief executive officer, Bjørnar Iversen, has officially resigned from the company, with his departure taking effect immediately. Iversen, who had been at the helm since July 2019, previously served as CEO of Songa Offshore and held senior management positions at Odfjell Drilling.
In response to his resignation, the company has named Jon Oliver Bryce as interim CEO. Currently serving as chief strategy officer, Bryce brings over three decades of experience in the drilling sector, having previously held senior leadership roles at Awilco Drilling and Odfjell Drilling.
Bryce holds a degree in mechanical engineering and is an active industry leader, serving on the supervisory board of the UK Chamber of Shipping and as chair of the British Rig Owners Association.
Acknowledging Iversen’s tenure, Martin Nes, chairman of Dolphin Drilling’s board of directors, expressed gratitude for his contributions over the past six years and extended best wishes for his future endeavors.
