Wella CEO Annie Young-Scrivner Resigns, Board Chair Glenn K. Murphy Steps In

Annie Young-Scrivner has stepped down from her role as CEO and Board Director of Wella Company. In an official statement, the company confirmed her resignation and announced that the Board had appointed current Board Chair Glenn K. Murphy to oversee operations as Executive Chair. Wella attributed Young-Scrivner’s departure to family matters.

Murphy, who has served on the Board for two years, is expected to bring extensive experience and transformative leadership to the company. He previously held CEO and Executive Chair positions at Shoppers Drug Mart and Gap Inc.

Commenting on his new role, Murphy noted that Wella Company was at a pivotal stage in its development and expressed enthusiasm about leading the team to achieve new levels of performance and success. He acknowledged Young-Scrivner’s contributions over her four-year tenure, stating that she had played a crucial role in establishing a strong foundation for the company’s future growth.
