Telia Lietuva CEO Appointed Vice President of Telia Company Amid Leadership Restructuring
Telia Lietuva has announced that its CEO, Giedrė Kaminskaitė-Salters, has been appointed Vice President at the Swedish telecommunications firm Telia Company. Effective 1 February 2025, she will join the Group Executive Management team while continuing to lead Telia Lietuva. In her expanded role, she will oversee Telia’s Baltic markets.
Telia Company also confirmed leadership changes in Estonia and Finland. Holger Haljand, the current CEO of Telia Eesti, will step into the role of Senior Vice President and Head of Telia Finland from 1 February, succeeding Heli Partanen, who is set to leave the company to pursue new opportunities outside the Telia Company Group.
In the meantime, the CEO position at Telia Eesti will be temporarily filled by Andre Visse, currently serving as the company’s Chief Technology Officer, until a permanent replacement is appointed.
Reflecting on her new responsibilities, Kaminskaitė-Salters expressed that the appointment represents a significant acknowledgment and a continuation of the efficiency program launched the previous year. She noted that Estonia and Lithuania share dynamic, efficient, and competitive markets with numerous similarities and emphasized the potential for enhanced collaboration as a united Baltic team.
Patrik Hofbauer, President and CEO of Telia Company, underscored the importance of the leadership transition, stating that Kaminskaitė-Salters’ professionalism, strategic vision, and past achievements had played a crucial role in Telia’s success in Lithuania. He expressed confidence that her experience and dedication would further drive development across the Baltic region and strengthen the company’s leadership team.
Telia Company is a leading telecommunications and media provider in the Nordic and Baltic regions, delivering essential digital infrastructure, ICT services, and entertainment to 26 million consumers, businesses, and public sector clients. In Lithuania, the group operates two entities: Telia Lietuva, a telecommunications provider, and Telia Global Services Lithuania, an IT competence center.
