Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards Honors Vinapharm CEO
On October 3, 2024, Han Thi Khanh Vinh, CEO and member of the Board of Directors at Vietnam Pharmaceutical Corporation (Vinapharm), received the prestigious Master Entrepreneur Award at the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA). This recognition marks a significant milestone in her career, coming just over a year into her tenure as CEO of the corporation, which has been a cornerstone of Vietnam’s pharmaceutical industry for more than five decades.
Since taking on the leadership role, Vinh has spearheaded transformative changes within Vinapharm. Under her guidance, the company has undergone substantial organizational restructuring, established new international partnerships, and reinforced its unique position as the sole pharmaceutical entity in Vietnam, with controlling shares owned by a state enterprise.
The company’s performance in the first half of the year reflected these efforts, posting a remarkable 18 percent growth in revenue and a 15 percent rise in pre-tax profits compared to the same period the previous year. These figures represent 72 percent of the annual revenue target and 86 percent of the pre-tax profit target for 2024.
These accomplishments have not only enhanced Vinapharm’s corporate value but have also boosted its standing in both domestic and global markets. Vinh’s leadership has been instrumental in driving these successes, laying a strong foundation for the company’s future growth.
As a leader, Vinh consistently emphasizes the importance of aligning the innovative and dynamic efforts of the workforce with the strategic vision of the company’s leadership. She remains focused on cultivating the next generation of leaders, ensuring Vinapharm continues on a path of sustainable development.
During the awards ceremony, Vinh expressed her gratitude, attributing the honor to the collective efforts of her team. She noted that the recognition was a testament to the unity and ambition of the entire corporation, and it further inspired her to guide Vinapharm in delivering long-lasting, positive impacts on both the community and society at large.
