Steve Donohue Steps Down as CEO of Endeavour Group After Three Decades

Steve Donohue, CEO and Managing Director of Endeavour Group has announced his decision to step down after more than six years in the top role and 30 years with the company. The announcement was made in a statement to the ASX, with the board and Donohue agreeing that now is the right time for new leadership to guide the group through its next phase of growth. While the company searches for a new executive, Donohue will remain in his role to ensure a smooth transition.

Donohue’s journey with the company began in 1994 as a summer casual at the second Dan Murphy’s store in Alphington, Victoria. Over the years, he advanced through leadership roles within Endeavour Drinks and Woolworths Group, eventually taking the helm at Endeavour Group, which demerged from Woolworths in June 2021.

Reflecting on his tenure, Donohue expressed pride in the company’s accomplishments under his leadership and gratitude to his colleagues at both Woolworths and Endeavour for their support. He highlighted the company’s growth into a leader in social occasions, boasting a portfolio of unparalleled brands and hospitality venues.
