New Leadership in Human Rights Coalition as Lipton and IGA CEOs Take the Helm

Pathward_Deal_Buisness_Finance

The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) has announced the appointment of Nathalie Roos, CEO of Lipton Teas and Infusions, and John Ross, CEO of IGA, as the new Sponsors of the Human Rights Coalition (HRC). Both executives will now take an active role in advancing the Coalition’s mission to safeguard and promote workers’ rights across the global consumer goods value chain.

In addition to their leadership positions at Lipton and IGA, Nathalie and John will spearhead efforts among the Coalition’s 24 member companies, which are committed to strengthening due diligence throughout their business operations. Their goal is to ensure that workers’ rights are not only protected and respected but also remedied at every point in the value chain.

With Lipton Teas and Infusions and IGA joining, the HRC now comprises 24 leading CGF members dedicated to upholding human rights across consumer goods industries. The full membership roster includes companies such as Colgate-Palmolive, Danone, L’Oréal, Nestlé, PepsiCo, and Walmart, among others.

Nathalie and John succeed Dolf van den Brink, CEO of Heineken, in their new roles. Their leadership will guide the HRC as it continues to drive impactful, CEO-led initiatives aimed at addressing human rights challenges within business practices, particularly focusing on due diligence and accelerating collective action.

The HRC’s work builds on CGF’s longstanding commitment to combat forced labor in consumer goods value chains. This includes the CGF’s Social Resolution on Forced Labour, the first industry-wide commitment of its kind, and its Priority Industry Principles, which remain central to the Coalition’s engagement with key stakeholders and its ongoing efforts to drive systemic change.

As part of CGF’s unique ability to unite CEOs from manufacturers and retailers globally, the HRC serves as a collaborative platform where industry leaders align on strategies to mitigate human rights risks, ensuring that workers’ rights are upheld throughout all stages of the value chain.
