OpenDrives Appoints Sean Lee as New CEO
OpenDrives, a specialist in media and entertainment (M&E) software-defined storage, has appointed Sean Lee as its new Chief Executive Officer. Lee succeeds Izhar Sharon, who was appointed CEO in December 2022, to diversify the company’s focus beyond its M&E niche—a strategy that has now been reconsidered.
Sean Lee, who previously served as the company’s chief strategy and operations officer, has been part of OpenDrives’ leadership since 2015. With 15 years of experience at Universal Studios, where he improved workflows and implemented efficient processes, Lee brings a customer-centric perspective to his new role. OpenDrives stated that Lee will leverage his experience to develop solutions that empower content creators and shape the future of the M&E industry.
Recently, OpenDrives introduced its updated Atlas storage platform, featuring a composable software architecture and an unlimited capacity business model. Headquartered in Los Angeles, OpenDrives offers media workflow solutions and storage management services. Founded in 2011 by M&E post-production professionals and technologists, the company is driven by its core Atlas software, which is utilized both on-premises and in the cloud.
