Bharti Airtel has named Sharat Sinha as the new CEO of Airtel Business, effective June 3. In his new role, Sinha will report to Gopal Vittal, CEO and MD of Bharti Airtel, and will be part of the Airtel Management Board.
Sinha expressed enthusiasm for joining Airtel Business, recognizing it as a leader in the B2B sector with a strong commitment to innovation and delivering value to customers through advanced technology solutions.
With extensive experience in the technology sector, Sinha joins from Checkpoint Software Technologies Limited, where he was President of Asia Pacific. His career also includes leadership roles at Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, and VMware, alongside early telecom experience at Ericsson and VSNL.
Gopal Vittal highlighted Sinha’s extensive global experience in product management and business leadership at top technology firms, noting that it will significantly enhance Airtel’s efforts to expand its portfolio in connectivity and related areas.
