Livia Voigt is The World’s Youngest Billionaire with a Significant Stake in WEG

At just nineteen years old, Livia Voigt earned the title of the world’s youngest billionaire thanks to her significant stake in WEG, Latin America’s leading electrical motor manufacturer. Co-founded by her grandfather Werner Ricardo Voigt, along with late billionaires Eggon Joao da Silva and Geraldo Werninghaus, WEG stands as a publicly-traded multinational with factories spanning across ten countries and boasting revenues of approximately $6 billion USD in 2022.

Despite her immense wealth, Livia leads a low-profile life, focusing on her studies while residing with her family in Florianópolis, Brazil. Her fortune, estimated at $1.1 billion, places her among the 18 heirs to the WEG fortune, with each inheriting a 3.1% stake in the company from their late grandfather. Neither Livia nor her sister, Dora Voigt de Assis, holds any executive position or board seat at WEG.

Joining the ranks of the world’s youngest billionaires, Livia and Dora are among the seven new entrants on the list. Their cousins, Eduardo Voigt Schwartz and Mariana Voigt Schwartz Gomes, also hold stakes in WEG and are featured in the 2024 billionaire list.

WEG, headquartered in Jaraguá do Sul, Brazil, stands as one of the largest manufacturers of electric motors, generators, transformers, gear units, and geared motors globally. With a presence in over 135 countries, the company continues to thrive, reporting revenues exceeding $6 billion in 2023.
