Kymeta Announces New CEO and Board Chair
Kymeta has appointed Rick Bergman as its new CEO, effective April 1, succeeding co-CEOs Doug Hutcheson and Walter Berger, who are retiring at the end of March. Based in Redmond, Washington, Kymeta specializes in flat-panel satellite antenna technology.
In addition to Bergman’s appointment, Nicole Piasecki, who joined Kymeta’s board in May 2022, will assume the role of Chair of the Board, succeeding Doug Hutcheson. Piasecki brings extensive experience from the aerospace and defense sector to her new position.
Bergman joins Kymeta from his previous role as executive vice president of Computing and Graphics at AMD and, prior to that, as president and CEO of Synaptics. Kymeta highlighted Bergman’s expertise in leveraging innovative technologies to capitalize on market opportunities, leading to significant growth.
According to Piasecki, Kymeta is positioned at the forefront of connecting the world through its hybrid communication solutions. She expressed anticipation for the next phase of growth for Kymeta, citing Rick Bergman’s track record of driving value-led growth in the technology sector, which she believes will be bolstered by disciplined execution.
