Volvo Trucks UK & Ireland Welcomes New Financial Leadership
Volvo Trucks UK & Ireland has appointed a new Chief Financial Officer, Naomi Adams, who will be stationed at the company’s headquarters in Warwick. Adams brings with her two decades of experience in finance, previously serving in various financial capacities within the Daimler Group.
Adams’ journey within the automotive industry commenced in 2000 when she started as a credit controller at Daimler Group. Over the years, she ascended through different roles, including leadership positions such as van brand controlling team leader at Mercedes-Benz UK and head of finance and controlling trucks at Mercedes-Benz Trucks. Her tenure culminated in her role as chief financial officer for Athlon UK, Daimler Group’s car finance and loan arm, a position she held for three years.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the transition to Volvo Trucks, Adams emphasized the pivotal moment in the commercial vehicle sector, highlighting the industry’s significant shift towards low and zero-carbon mobility solutions alongside the economic challenges posed by the pandemic.
Adams is eager to contribute to Volvo Trucks’ journey towards decarbonization while ensuring financial stability for customers amidst evolving economic landscapes. She stressed the importance of a strong financial foundation to uphold the company’s commitment to exceptional service.
