Mahindra Group Comes With a Whole New Leadership Team

Amarjyoti Barua, currently the Executive Vice President overseeing group strategy, is slated to assume the role of Group Chief Financial Officer for the Mahindra Group, effective May 17, 2024, as the company revealed today. Amarjyoti Barua became part of the Mahindra Group in May 2023, following a six-year stint at Baker Hughes before joining the firm.

Simultaneously, the conglomerate announced that Manoj Bhat, the current CFO of the group, will transition to the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Mahindra Holidays Resorts India Limited (MHRIL), commencing May 17, 2024. This shift in leadership follows the decision of the incumbent executive, Kavinder Singh, to embark on a new professional challenge starting May 16, 2024.

Additionally, Vimal Agarwal, the present CFO of Mahindra Lifespaces Developers Ltd (MLDL), is set to become the CFO for MHRIL, with Avinash Bapat succeeding him as the CFO of Mahindra Lifespaces Developers Ltd (MLDL). Agarwal will assume his new role starting May 1, 2024.

Kavinder Singh, who joined the Mahindra Group in 2014 as MD and CEO of MHRIL, focused on elevating MHRIL into a world-class vacation ownership company during his tenure.

Manoj Bhat, who joined M&M in April 2021 from Tech Mahindra, previously serving as CFO since 2018, played a crucial role as the Group CFO, overseeing the finance leadership team and collaborating with the CFOs of group companies to ensure governance, controllership, and capital allocation discipline across the group.

Anish Shah, Group CEO and Managing Director (MD) of M&M emphasized the Mahindra Group’s commitment to talent development, attributing their ability to attract and retain top talent. He expressed appreciation for Kavinder’s contributions and extended well wishes for his future endeavors. Shah also welcomed Manoj Bhat to his new role, praising his leadership skills and customer-centric approach aligned with the Mahindra Group’s Rise philosophy.
