Cecilie M. Brænd Hekneby Commenced her Role as CFO at Spir Group

On February 1st, Cecilie M. Brænd Hekneby officially commenced her role as Chief Financial Officer at Spir Group ASA, the software house specializing in advanced software and services for the public sector. The announcement of her appointment was made public on December 15, 2023. In a subsequent announcement on December 18, 2023, Spir Group disclosed that Hekneby, as part of her new role as CFO, had committed to acquiring shares in the company worth NOK 4 million.

Hekneby is transitioning to Spir Group from her previous seven-year tenure as CFO at Self Storage Group. Previously, she was Finance Manager at Selvaag Self-Storage, Group Controller at Color Line, and held positions as Project Manager and Financial Controller at Posten Norge.

A graduate of Siviløkonom from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH), Hekneby’s arrival has been warmly welcomed by Spir Group. Per Haakon Lomsdalen, CEO of Spir Group, expressed confidence in Hekneby’s capabilities and highlighted her significant role in advancing the company’s growth strategy.

Expressing enthusiasm about joining Spir Group, Hekneby highlighted the company’s unique standing in attractive markets in Norway and Sweden, emphasizing its substantial potential. She acknowledged Spir Group’s crucial role in society through its mission-critical software solutions for the public sector, real estate, and property industries.
