Boohoo Brings Stephen Morana to Assume the role of CFO

Stephen Morana, a former executive at Zoopla and Betfair, has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of Boohoo Group, succeeding Shaun McCabe, who departed from his position “with immediate effect.” Boohoo Group stated that McCabe’s departure was a mutual agreement between him and the board.

Mahmud Kamani, the group executive chairman, expressed confidence in Morana, noting his familiarity with Boohoo Group during his prior non-executive role and highlighting Morana’s extensive experience in finance, particularly with global digital businesses. Kamani emphasized Morana’s valuable support in the pursuit of the company’s growth ambitions.

McCabe, who initially joined as an independent non-executive director in October 2020, later assumed the roles of chair of the audit and risk committees and CFO in October 2022. In the interim, Stephen Morana, who had previously served as a non-executive director at Boohoo Group from 2014 to 2017, will assume the position of CFO starting on February 19.
