Strong Transition Plan for the Leadership of Simulmedia
Simulmedia has announced that Dave Morgan, the founder and CEO, is transitioning to the role of Executive Chairman, while Jon Werther, currently the Chief Operating Officer, will assume the position of CEO with increased responsibilities for operations and day-to-day direction.
In his new role as Executive Chairman, Morgan will focus on market development, product vision, strategy, and partnerships. He expressed his excitement about concentrating on the growing opportunity in Connected TV (CTV), highlighting that CTV’s contribution to the company’s revenue has increased from 1% to over 15% in the past three years.
Morgan conveyed his confidence in Jon Werther, the incoming CEO, emphasizing their strong partnership. Werther, who returned to Simulmedia as COO eighteen months ago after a decade away, has a diverse background. During his time away, he worked at the Professional Fighters League (PFL), a mixed martial arts organization, and at media conglomerate Meredith Corporation. Earlier in his career, Werther spent ten years in executive roles at Time Warner and its AOL division.
Morgan expressed gratitude for the partnership with Werther and highlighted his valuable contributions during their collaboration at AOL and the initial build-out of Simulmedia.
Founded in 2008, Simulmedia specializes in the automated, data-driven buying of Linear TV advertising. The company’s TV+ platform optimizes ad spending across major channels.
