Trinity Capital Names Michael Testa as its new CFO
On Friday, Trinity Capital Inc. (Nasdaq: TRIN) appointed Michael Testa as its Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately, as part of its long-term succession plan. Testa takes over from David Lund, who will remain involved with the company as a consultant, focusing on strategic growth initiatives.
Trinity Capital Inc. is an internally managed business development company specializing in offering diversified financial solutions to growth-stage companies.
Testa, who initially joined Trinity Capital in 2020 as the Chief Accounting Officer, has been pivotal to the company’s success in the past four years. Before his tenure at Trinity, he held positions as Vice President and Controller at Oxford Funds and contributed to financial audits within Ernst & Young LLP’s financial services practice, concentrating on clients in the asset management sector.
Kyle Brown, Trinity Capital’s Chief Executive Officer, expressed confidence in Testa’s abilities, citing his integral role as CAO and anticipating his continued leadership impact during the company’s upcoming growth phase. Brown also acknowledged David Lund’s significant contributions during his four-year tenure as CFO, particularly highlighting his role in the company’s 2021 initial public offering and subsequent enterprise expansion.
David Lund, the outgoing CFO, congratulated Michael Testa on his new position, affirming Testa’s suitability for leading Trinity’s finance and accounting functions based on their close collaboration over the years.
Expressing gratitude for the appointment, Michael Testa conveyed his eagerness to collaborate with Kyle and the management team, aiming to expand Trinity’s platform and deliver lasting value to shareholders.
