Guild Esports Appoints new CFO
Guild Esports PLC (LSE: GILD, OTCQB: GULDF) has appointed Paul Kingsley as the new Chief Financial Officer and company secretary, effective immediately.
Kingsley brings more than 25 years of extensive experience across various sectors such as media, technology, retail, and sports to Guild.
Before joining Guild, he served as CFO at UNiDAYS for four years, overseeing the world’s largest student affinity network, catering to over 29 million Gen-Z members across 115 markets and providing learning and retail experiences. During his tenure at UNiDAYS, Kingsley played a pivotal leadership role, guiding the company through growth stages, implementing new systems, and enhancing core capabilities to improve business efficiency and drive financial performance.
He also held positions as CFO at Edge.network, a blockchain company, and as finance director at luxury real estate firm Found Associates. Throughout his career, Kingsley has contributed to renowned FMCG brands such as Coca-Cola, Schweppes, and Diageo PLC (LSE: DGE). Additionally, he currently serves on the advisory board of the British Beauty Council.
Acknowledging the outgoing CFO Clare Jarvis, the Guild Esports board expressed gratitude for her valuable contributions to the company’s development and its continued focus on financial prudence.
Jasmine Skee, Guild Esports’ chief executive, expressed enthusiasm about Kingsley’s appointment, emphasizing the extensive expertise he has accumulated in the media, technology, and sports sectors over his career.
Skee highlighted Kingsley’s strategic financial experience and C-Suite proficiency, positioning him as a crucial addition to Guild’s senior leadership team. His recent engagement with the Gen-Z demographic at UNiDAYS aligns well with Guild’s focus on esports and gaming in the media landscape, making him a valuable asset for the brand’s growth.
