Mukesh Ambani, an Indian billionaire, saw his net worth increase by $536 million in a single day to reach $97.5 billion. This puts him back in the top spot in the region, ahead of his compatriot Gautam Adani. Adani, who is committed to investing $100 billion over the next decade in green transition across his conglomerate’s businesses, trails behind Ambani with a net worth of $94.5 billion, but only by a narrow margin.
With a net worth of $97.5 billion, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani is now the world’s 12th richest person. Gautam Adani, the Adani Group founder, is now at the 14th spot in the global rich list with a wealth of $94.5 billion. Other notable Indians on the billionaire list include Shapoor Mistry at the 38th spot with wealth of $35 billion and Shiv Nadar at the 45th spot with $33.2 billion. Tesla CEO Elon Musk continues to top the index with a net worth of $219 billion, followed by Jeff Bezos of Amazon at $170 billion.
