BB Seguridade to Bring Banco do Brasil Executive to Take the Helm
BB Seguridade, a Brazilian insurer, announced the resignation of its CEO, Ullisses Assis, on Tuesday. The controlling shareholder, Banco do Brasil, has nominated one of its executives to take his place.
Andre Haui, who boasts 23 years of experience at Banco do Brasil and currently heads the bank’s U.S. subsidiary, has been named as Assis’ successor by the state-run lender.
According to a securities filing by the company, Assis, who has been at the helm of BB Seguridade since 2021, resigned to explore new professional opportunities in the private sector.
Rafael Sperendio, the current chief financial officer, will serve as the interim CEO until the insurer’s board of directors approves the next permanent CEO.
