Hunkemöller Brings Adidas Executive to Replace Philip Mountford as CEO

Hunkemöller has officially announced Brian Grevy as the incoming CEO, set to assume the role starting February 1st, according to the Dutch lingerie retailer’s recent announcement on Thursday. Grevy succeeds CEO Philip Mountford, who will conclude his tenure on January 31st following his retirement announcement in June, marking a 15-year leadership at the company.

Prior to joining Hunkemöller, Grevy held a significant position on the board of Adidas, where he contributed to shaping the 2020 “Own the Game” marketing strategy for the Herzogenaurach-based sports retailer. His responsibilities encompassed overseeing a brand organization with a workforce of 6,500 employees, as stated in the press release.

In a statement, Grevy expressed his intentions, saying, “My focus will be on continuing to build on core competencies that have brought us to where we are today and bringing them closer to the by creating and implementing a fully integrated, service-led customer experience that will provide the foundation for a successful next chapter of our growth.”

Grevy’s career at Adidas involved multiple roles during two separate tenures; he departed from the Adidas Executive Board in early March due to managerial changes. He had an extensive history at Adidas, serving in various capacities from 2004 to 2016, according to his LinkedIn profile, before transitioning to Gant. At Gant, he initially held the position of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) before advancing to CEO in 2018. In 2020, he returned to Herzogenaurach.
