Jim Tarangelo Becomes CFO of Aramark as Tom Ondrof Retires
Aramark has announced the retirement plans of Tom Ondrof, the current Chief Financial Officer, effective January 12, 2024. Following his retirement, Ondrof will serve as a strategic advisor until May 2024. Jim Tarangelo, Aramark’s Senior Vice President of Finance and treasurer, has been appointed to succeed Ondrof as the Chief Financial Officer, starting January 13.
John Zillmer, Aramark’s chief executive officer, expressed appreciation for Ondrof’s significant contributions and emphasized the Company’s robust talent pool and strategic succession planning.
In his current role, Tarangelo, with a two-decade tenure at Aramark, oversees the Company’s global treasury and capital markets operations, financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and tax.
Prior to joining Aramark, Tarangelo held positions in investment banking at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Legg Mason. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Lafayette College and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
