Enquest CFO to Become CEO at Veri Energy
Enquest PLC (AIM: ENQ) has made key appointments to its subsidiary, Veri Energy, which is dedicated to infrastructure and emerging energy ventures. Salman Malik, currently serving as EnQuest’s Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed as the Chief Executive of Veri Energy. In addition, Jonathan Copus is slated to take over as EnQuest’s new chief financial officer starting in February.
Amjad Bseisu, the chief executive, highlighted Malik’s pivotal role in advancing the group’s decarbonization and new energy initiatives. Bseisu expressed enthusiasm about working closely with Malik, who assumes the role of Veri’s CEO, underlining the significance of this growth area for the company’s energy transition journey.
Malik emphasized his commitment to positioning Veri as a prominent player in infrastructure and new energy realms. He emphasized Veri’s primary focus on leveraging EnQuest’s expertise to drive large-scale decarbonization and new energy projects, particularly in areas such as carbon capture and storage, green hydrogen, and electrification at the Sullom Voe Terminal.
