Chewy Welcomes Former GlobalFoundries CFO David Reeder

Chewy, Inc. (NYSE: CHWY) has introduced David Reeder as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective February 14, 2024. Upon Reeder’s assumption of the CFO position, Stacy Bowman, interim CFO, will continue to serve as Chewy’s Chief Accounting Officer. Chewy partners with approximately 3,500 renowned brands in the pet industry, providing around 110,000 product and service offerings.

Reeder arrives at Chewy from GlobalFoundries, Inc., a prominent semiconductor manufacturer, where he has held the role of CFO since 2020. Notably, he oversaw their financial strategy, including their successful initial public offering in 2021. Reeder has previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of Tower Hill Insurance Group and held executive positions at companies such as Lexmark International Inc., Electronics for Imaging, Inc., Cisco Systems, Inc., Broadcom Inc., and Texas Instruments Inc.

Sumit Singh, Chewy’s CEO, expressed his confidence in Reeder, citing his extensive financial leadership experience across diverse industries. Singh highlighted Reeder’s expected role in driving sustainable growth and financial efficiency in alignment with Chewy’s strategic priorities.

Reeder, speaking about his new role, commended Chewy’s stellar reputation and ongoing success in the pet category, expressing enthusiasm for joining the leadership team and contributing to the company’s future endeavors.
