Transition Plan For CFC Team of Leaders

CFC, a global specialist in cyber insurance, has nominated Louise O’Shea to serve as its new Chief Executive Officer, pending approval from the FCA. This announcement comes after Lloyd’s completed an inquiry into claims of non-financial misconduct within the organization, resulting in the departure of David Walsh, the Group CEO, in January 2024.

Additionally, Graeme Newman, the CEO of CFC Underwriting, will resign from his position and exit the company in April 2024. Meanwhile, Andy Holmes is slated to be promoted to the position of CEO at CFC Underwriting, pending FCA approval.

Louise O’Shea previously held the role of Independent Non-Executive Director at CFC and served as CEO of Confused.com until March 2023.

Holmes, with over two decades of experience within the company, previously held the role of Chief Underwriting Officer. He will be assisted by Dan Trueman, who will join CFC as the Chief Underwriting Officer on January 1, 2024, transitioning from his prior position as Global Head of Cyber at AXIS Insurance.

Acknowledging past shortcomings, CFC has committed to implementing various measures aimed at fortifying its policies and procedures. The company also intends to make substantial investments in fostering a stronger organizational culture and nurturing its workforce. Furthermore, CFC plans to appoint a new Chief People Officer as part of these ongoing enhancements.
