Fredrik Witte Named CEO of Corvus Energy

The Board of Corvus Energy has appointed Fredrik Witte as the new CEO, effective January 1st, 2024. Mette Rokne Hanestad, the current CFO, will serve as the Interim CEO until Witte assumes his position on January 1st, 2024.

Witte, previously the Managing Director of Cargill Aqua Nutrition, brings a wealth of experience in leading growth companies, garnering praise from Chairman Mikael Mäkinen, who eagerly anticipates a new chapter for the company. According to Mäkinen, Corvus Energy is poised for a significant phase, maintaining its market leadership in a rapidly expanding market while reinforcing its strong foundation.

Over the past eight years, Witte has led 450 employees as the Managing Director of Cargill Aqua Nutrition’s operations across Norway, Scotland, and Canada. His professional journey includes serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Rieber & Søn ASA in Bergen, along with stints at Tomra Systems and DNB. Eager to commence his new role, Witte expressed enthusiasm for acquainting himself with Corvus Energy.

Fredrik Witte, 52, has held the position of Managing Director for Cargill Aqua Nutrition’s operations across Norway, Scotland, and Canada since 2015. His career spans nearly a decade in the marine sector, including roles as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Rieber & Søn ASA from 2009 to 2013. Previously, Witte was responsible for Investor Relations at Tomra Systems ASA from 2001 to 2005 and served as the Financial Manager at Tomra North America from 2005 to 2009. His earlier experience includes serving as a Key Account Manager at DNB, primarily focused on the energy sector, from 1995 to 2001. Witte holds a degree in finance from the Wharton School of Finance & Commerce, University of Pennsylvania, USA.
