Alan Bentley Succeeds Andrew Webb in the role of CFO at Convene
On Monday, Convene, a provider of coworking spaces and event venues, announced that it has recently appointed C. Alan Bentley as its new Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect. Bentley assumes the role previously held by Andrew Webb, who served as Convene’s CFO from February 2018 to March 2021, as indicated on his LinkedIn profile.
Convene’s CEO and co-founder, Ryan Simonetti, mentioned that Bentley’s arrival aligns with the company’s anticipated global expansion. Simonetti emphasized the company’s proactive approach to upgrading their finance function to meet the evolving needs of their clients and the changing landscape of work.
Before officially joining Convene, Bentley provided consultancy services to the company for a span of two years, notably during Convene’s acquisition of U.K.-based event venue provider, Etc.venues, an acquisition that was revealed in February.
Bentley’s prior experience includes senior roles at consulting firms such as Accordion Partners, where he served as a Senior Managing Director, and Mackinac Partners, where he held a similar position. Preceding these roles, Bentley served for over six years as the Executive Vice President and CFO at Diamond Resorts, Inc.
