Fernando Fernandez Named CFO of Unilever
Unilever has officially announced Fernando Fernandez as its new Chief Financial Officer following a comprehensive internal and external search process. Fernando, who currently serves as the President of Unilever’s Beauty & Wellbeing Business Group, will be taking over the role from Graeme Pitkethly, who had previously announced his retirement earlier this year. Fernando will officially assume his role as CFO on January 1, 2024, and he will also join the Board at that time.
Unilever also made several other key leadership changes within its Unilever Leadership Executive, including Priya Nair’s appointment as President of Beauty & Wellbeing and other changes in leadership roles in various business groups.
Regarding the appointment of Fernando Fernandez, Unilever confirms that there is no additional information required to be disclosed under the UK Listing Rules.
Before his current role overseeing one of Unilever’s fastest-growing Business Groups, Fernando held various key positions within Unilever, including leadership roles in Latin America and as the head of Unilever Brazil from 2011 to 2019. Earlier in his career, he led Unilever Philippines and the Global Hair Care category.
