Female Leadership at De Beers Group with Sandrine Conseiller in the role of CEO
De Beers Group has appointed Sandrine Conseiller as the new CEO of De Beers Brands, taking over from the current head, Marc Jacheet, who is stepping down from his position after serving for a year and a half.
In her new role, Conseiller will be responsible for overseeing the development of De Beers’ brands and its investments in both existing and emerging diamond markets. De Beers made this announcement on Thursday, stating that Conseiller will officially join the company and become a member of its executive committee on December 1.
Conseiller’s background includes her recent position at Maus Freres Brands Group, where she spent eight years and, most recently, held the position of CEO at the French footwear and clothing brand Aigle. Prior to this role, she served as the Executive Vice President of Marketing and Branding at the apparel company Lacoste and had a distinguished career with Unilever, where she held leadership roles for nearly two decades.
In addition to her corporate roles, Conseiller has contributed as a board member and senior adviser at the biotech firm Carbios and has been involved in the philanthropic acceleration program Raise Sherpas. She has also received the Chevalière de l’Ordre National du Mérite honor in France for her efforts in promoting diversity in business and advancing sustainability in the French industry.
De Beers Group CEO Al Cook expressed confidence in Conseiller’s ability, stating, “Her track record as a leader of iconic, purpose-led brands speaks for itself. She has consistently driven transformation and growth. But I am even more impressed by her passion and values.”
