Zurich, a prominent global insurance provider, has introduced Mattias Fritz as the new CEO of Zurich Nordic, starting on November 1, 2023.
In his new capacity, Fritz will lead a team of around 200 colleagues across Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. He will ensure alignment with Zurich’s global strategy, taking over from Dirk De Nil, who now serves as the Global Head of Zurich Resilience Solutions.
Fritz will be stationed in Stockholm and will report to Sierra Signorelli, the CEO of Commercial Insurance in Zurich. Signorelli expressed her confidence in Fritz’s appointment, acknowledging his extensive industry expertise and successful leadership background. She believes that Fritz and the entire Nordic team will continue to execute the company’s strategy and enhance its footprint in the region.
Fritz, who boasts over 17 years of experience within large, multinational insurance companies, initially joined Zurich in 2021 as the Nordic Chief Underwriting Officer. He expressed his enthusiasm for the new role and stated that he is eager to further bolster operations in the Nordics. Fritz emphasized the commitment to assisting customers in managing their risk exposures through top-tier protection, prevention, mitigation services, and actionable insights.
