CFO Ann Anthony Leaves OPAL Fuels
OPAL Fuels Inc. (Nasdaq: OPAL) has announced that Ann Anthony, the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, has notified the Company of her intention to resign to pursue another professional opportunity. Scott Contino, the CFO of the Company’s sponsor, Fortistar, has been appointed as the interim CFO. Mr. Contino has been part of the OPAL Fuels business since its inception and previously served as the CFO of its predecessor parent company.
The specific departure date for Ms. Anthony has not yet been determined and remains under discussion. Mr. Contino will assist Ms. Anthony during the transition and take on the CFO role once her departure date is determined. The Company’s Board of Directors has initiated a search for a permanent CFO.
Adam Comora, Co-Chief Executive Officer of OPAL Fuels, expressed appreciation for Ann’s contributions during her tenure and her role in taking the company public and executing its growth plan. He also thanked her for facilitating a smooth transition and wished her success in her new endeavors with another growing company.
Mr. Comora further noted the appointment of Scott Contino as interim CFO, emphasizing his experience and leadership qualities. Scott has been involved with the business for over twenty-five years and is well-suited to provide steady leadership during the transition to a new CFO. Scott’s appointment underscores Fortistar’s commitment to OPAL Fuels.
Scott Contino, 56 years old, has worked for more than two decades at Fortistar, a privately owned investment firm that supports companies addressing sustainability challenges. He has been Fortistar’s CFO for eighteen years, overseeing accounting, tax, treasury, and insurance matters. Mr. Contino holds an MBA from INSEAD and a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
