Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) has introduced Jo Quigley as the new Chief Executive Officer of its subsidiary, Integrity Systems Company (ISC). ISC is responsible for managing Australia’s critical red meat traceability, animal welfare, food safety, and biosecurity programs, which encompass the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS), Livestock Production Assurance (LPA), and the electronic National Vendor Declaration (eNVD).

Ms. Quigley’s appointment follows an extensive search to fill the role left vacant by Dr. Jane Weatherley, who transitioned to become MLA’s General Manager of Communication & Adoption in August. Ms. Quigley has been serving as Group Manager – ISC Operations for the past seven years and has been acting CEO since August. In the announcement of her appointment, MLA’s Managing Director, Jason Strong, emphasized that Ms. Quigley’s industry knowledge, extensive experience, and strong stakeholder relationships make her exceptionally well-suited for the position.

Ms. Quigley expressed her commitment to the significance of ISC’s work in supporting the ongoing success and sustainability of the livestock and agriculture sector. She also highlighted her enthusiasm for collaborating with partners and stakeholders to enhance the industry’s integrity and transparency.

Mr. Strong pointed out that Quigley’s profound knowledge and understanding of the industry and ISC would enable her to continue collaborating with the industry to maintain a robust and reliable traceability system.
