After analyzing the net worth of the top 20 wealthiest owners in American team sports, it was found that for the ninth consecutive year, Steve Ballmer, owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, is the richest owner in American sports. He’s been ranked as the wealthiest among the 20 richest owners in the country.

Rob Walton, the Walmart heir, was once again the runner-up in the ranking, having bought the Denver Broncos for the hefty sum of $4.65 billion in June 2022. Dan Gilbert, the owner of Rocket Mortgage and the Cleveland Cavaliers, skyrocketed up the list to the third spot, having been in sixth position the year before.
