Fawwad Qureshi Assumes the role of CFO at Trupanion

Trupanion, Inc., a provider of pet medical insurance for cats and dogs, has appointed Fawwad Qureshi, MBA, as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective from September 25, 2023.

With over two decades of experience, Qureshi has a track record of driving revenue and profitability growth for publicly traded global companies. In his most recent role as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Finance and CFO of brands at Expedia Group, he had full profit and loss (P&L) and commercial responsibility for a portfolio of consumer brands valued at over $9 billion, including Expedia, Vrbo, Hotels.com, Orbitz, and Travelocity.

Before his time at Expedia, Qureshi served as CFO for Nike Global Technology, where he oversaw a diverse portfolio of technology investments, focusing on digital product development for consumer-facing e-commerce properties. Prior to that, he held various finance positions of increasing seniority at Intel.

Qureshi holds a Master of Business Administration from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College.

Since June 1, 2023, Wei Li has served as the interim CFO and will continue with Trupanion as Senior Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller. Tooth expressed her gratitude for Wei’s interim leadership and acknowledged his continued value to the company.
