COO Frederico Pedreira is Appointed to be Deputy CEO of Avianca
Avianca Airlines has appointed Frederico Pedreira, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer since 2021, to the role of Deputy CEO, effective immediately. The airline made this announcement on Tuesday. In his new capacity, Pedreira’s responsibilities will encompass various areas, including operations, human resources, technology, corporate communications, customer service, and institutional relations, according to a statement from the airline.
Gabriel Oliva will succeed Pedreira as COO while also retaining his position as CEO of Avianca Cargo. Oliva will oversee a range of functions, including maintenance, safety, network and ground operations, service delivery, airport operations, and management of cabin crews and pilots, in addition to his responsibilities within the cargo division.
Adrian Neuhauser will continue in his role as CEO of Avianca and will also serve as Deputy CEO of the Abra Group, which is the holding company overseeing Avianca and Gol airlines.
