New President and CFO at Relation Insurance Services
Relation Insurance Services, a prominent and rapidly expanding national insurance brokerage, has announced two key appointments. Russell Brown has been named President, while Charissa Hartmann assumes the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Russell Brown became part of Relation through the acquisition of his previous firm, Premier Consulting Partners, in 2019. Over the past three years, he has served as the Chief Revenue Officer, leading Relation’s national sales and service functions. As the co-founder and CEO of Premier, Brown established a proprietary advisory approach that garnered recognition for the firm as a highly sought-after employee benefits broker and advanced markets advisor in the region. In his new position, Brown will continue to lead Relation’s sales efforts and will also have direct oversight of the company’s distinct business units.
Russell Brown expressed his enthusiasm for being part of one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry and emphasized the importance of nurturing leadership within the organization.
Charissa Hartmann joined Relation in 2022 as the Chief Accounting Officer, responsible for overseeing all financial functions, including accounting, audit, treasury, corporate finance, and shareholder relations. With over 25 years of experience in financial management, business optimization, and building finance teams, Hartmann’s previous roles include positions at AssuredPartners, Inc., AdventHealth, and EY. As she steps into the role of CFO, Hartmann is eager to contribute to Relation’s strategic goals, operational efficiencies, talent development, and innovation.
Tim Hall, CEO of Relation, commended the appointments of Russell Brown and Charissa Hartmann, highlighting Brown’s leadership qualities and success in leading large sales organizations. Hall expressed excitement about having Hartmann in her new role, emphasizing her contributions to advancing and integrating Relation’s finance team since joining the firm. He noted their significance as Relation continues its national expansion.
