Masoval, the Norwegian salmon producer, has announced the appointment of Anders Hagestande as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective from September 18, 2023.
Anders Hagestande steps into the role previously held by Gunnar Aftret, who resigned in May 2023. Aftret will continue to assist the company as a financial advisor until at least November 30, 2023, ensuring a seamless transition.
Before joining Masoval, Hagestande held the position of CFO at Blue Resource Group. Prior to that, he served as CFO at another Norwegian salmon producer, Bjoroya.
Anders Hagestande’s professional experience also includes serving as a board member for both Filetfabrikken and Villa Seafood, working as a financial controller at Nova Sea, and contributing as a business developer at AquaGen.
Hagestande earned his degree in business administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), specializing in finance with a minor in economic analysis.
