Direct Line Names Adam Winslow as its new CEO
British auto and home insurer Direct Line Insurance Group (DLGD.L) has announced the appointment of Adam Winslow as its new CEO. This move comes as the company looks to recover from a significant profit drop of 95% in the year 2022. Winslow, a high-ranking executive at Aviva (AV.L), will be taking on this role, bringing his experience as the current CEO of UK & Ireland general insurance at Aviva, a prominent company listed on the FTSE 100. He is scheduled to begin his position at Direct Line in the first quarter of 2024. This decision follows the departure of Penny James, who had served as Direct Line’s CEO for nearly four years, leading to the interim appointment of Jon Greenwood, the Chief Commercial Officer, as the acting CEO.
