5 Documents You Will Have To Submit For Any Golden Visa Scheme

A golden visa is a door to a whole new world of opportunities. As a businessman or a person searching for a new destination home, you can benefit from the golden visa scheme. But to avail of this incredible opportunity, there are some criteria that you have to meet. And as a metric for these criteria, there are certain documents you have to present when applying for a golden visa. In the present article, we will go over five documents you need to keep ready if you want to apply for a golden visa.

  1. A valid passport
This one should go without saying. You need to have a valid passport. A passport will allow you to travel internationally and also serves as proof of your identity. The government should approve your passport of your country, and it must be valid beyond the travel date. In case you do not currently possess a passport, you can apply for one and complete the due formalities.
Once your paperwork has been completed to your satisfaction, you will receive your passport. Now, you can apply for the golden visa you want to gain. You are free to travel internationally. Other minor details need to be worked out, but they will be fulfilled in the due course of applying for the visa.

  2. A filled and approved golden visa form
Once you have filled out the visa application for the country you want to move to, you need to wait for its approval. You cannot proceed with your plans until your application gets approved. Although many countries open up their borders for these golden visa applicants, they only accept a limited number of applications. You have to make sure you get on the list of those few whose applications are accepted against the number of vacancies available.
If, by any chance, the vacancies are filled, you will have to wait for your turn or apply elsewhere to get the golden visa. This is why it is wise to apply early and ensure the smooth sailing of your application.

  3. Proof of health insurance in the country you want to apply to
Some countries also ask that you provide for your healthcare. What they are asking for is your health care plan. You need to have a health care plan or health insurance to move to these countries. They might open up their borders for you and offer the privileges of residence, but you still need to look after yourself on your dime.
The reason behind this strict policy in some countries is the high cost of medical care. Bearing the burden of an ailing patient might be too costly for some countries. They choose to divert their resources elsewhere and offer other benefits. In such a case, it becomes crucial that you have a health insurance policy that extends its coverage to the required country.

  4. Proof of no criminal record
No country wants an inflow of criminals. You will have to submit a bill of clean past at the time of application. This clean bill of character can be in the form of police verification or verification by any other local authority having the acknowledgment of the country.
Many applicants get rejected over something as small as a public nuisance charge. Therefore, ensure you have no pending or ongoing criminal allegations against you. It might seem minuscule at the moment, but at the time of application, it will pop out like an eye sore.

  5. A solvent and required-minimum bank balance
Last but certainly not least, you need a bank account statement showing you have the minimum amount necessary for the application. This account should be to your credit and not in the name of a relative or acquaintance. Golden visas often ask for a certain amount of investment from the applicants.
This investment can be in the form of an incoming business or a direct investment into the country’s community, capable of generating employment or profit for them. If you have all of the above mentioned documents, there is nothing but smooth sailing from here on.
