The Board of Directors of CEOWORLD magazine announce the appointment of its newest External Advisory Board (EAB) Member, Lisa Veneziano, who officially joined the board in November. Lisa has joined the board as an “independent” member. Aside from Prof. Dr. Amarendra Bhushan Dhiraj, CEO and Editorial Director, all CEOWORLD magazine’s External Advisory Board (EAB) members are independent. In accepting the appointment, Lisa Veneziano said, “I am honored and excited to be part of the CEOWORLD External Advisory Board. I look forward to leveraging my experience and expertise to support expanded reach, continued relevancy, and further growth for this prominent business magazine.”
In her most recent role as Executive Director, Global Aftersales Supply Chain Warehousing and Logistics (2016–2020) at General Motors, Lisa headed a global organization comprised of 95 warehouses in 21 countries, 4,500 suppliers, 10,000 GM dealers, and 6,000 team members worldwide, including 1,000 salaried employees. She led the global aftersales supply chain team through strong revenue growth of ~13% over four years, while effectively navigating steep challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and a union strike.
During this time, Lisa’s team developed a global safety template in response to COVID-19 that became recognized as a best practice for COVID protocols. She also minimized the impact of a national strike lasting six weeks, led efforts to build a new packaging center, developed and implemented the framework for a digitized supply chain, and initiated warehouse automation.
Previously, Lisa held global supply chain executive roles (2013–2016), where her primary focus was implementing lean processes for warehousing and packaging operations and improving management of dangerous goods, packaging design, customer quality, facility and network footprint design, and capacity planning. She oversaw up to 700 salaried/contract employees and 3,800 hourly/union team members.
Earlier, as Regional Manager, North America ACDelco Sales (2012–2013), Lisa was instrumental in growing the ACDelco retail customer base which include customers such as Amazon, O’Reilly, AutoZone, and others. Her initiatives supported double-digit growth in year over year sales of new and existing product lines.
From 2006–2012, Lisa held roles of increasing accountability as a supply chain leader supporting the global launch readiness, international customer support, and readiness/availability of new vehicle parts. She was successful in rolling out a global plan and restructuring the organization so that all regions worldwide operated as one unified entity.
Prior to these positions, Lisa held management roles in the service and parts operations division (1998–2006), where her notable achievements include turning around an underperforming plant from worst to first and building one of three new greenfield centers. She started with General Motors as an industrial engineer in 1986 and continued to rise through positions of increasing technical and managerial responsibility and visibility.
In addition to her career with General Motors, Lisa also has experience in both private business as co-owner of Classic Auto Management, LLC and non-profit as Director and now Chair-Elect on the Board of Directors for the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM).
In tandem with the current members of the External Advisory Board (EAB), the new member will help position the CEOWORLD magazine for growth and serve readers by identifying key industry trends, developments, and insights in the field of global business, finance, and economy.
