World’s Largest Sailing Superyacht SEA EAGLE II Is Currently On Her Way To The Mediterranean
Interestingly, the 266-foot-long sailing superyacht named SEA EAGLE II has been officially delivered to her new owner and is currently on her way to the Mediterranean. SEA EAGLE II is the largest aluminum sailing yacht that’s been built.
SEA EAGLE II was designed by Dykstra Naval Architects and Mark Whiteley and features a distinctive plumb bow and modern three-masted Panamax rig by Rondal.
With an overall length 266-feet, SEA EAGLE II is the largest yacht built by the Royal Huisman and joins another Huisman build – Athena – in the world’s top ten list of the largest sailing yachts. built for unrestricted worldwide cruising, Sea Eagle II is capable of reaching speed in excess of 21 knots for an exhilarating and sustainable cruising experience. Oh, and her 13-foot-long carbon-fiber rudder is the largest ever built.

Up to 12 guests can be accommodated for across six staterooms, including a VIP suite for the owner. Previously called Project RH400, the boat was sold in summer 2016 by Northrop & Johnson. The vessel reportedly belongs to Taiwanese billionaire businessman and philanthropist Samuel Yen-Liang Yin. The billionaire has an estimated net worth of $2.7 billion. Samuel Yen-Liang Yin is a chairman of Taiwan’s Ruentex Group, and also he has stakes in Sun Art Retail Group, a leading hypermarket operator in China.
