New York has been named the world’s most exciting city for 2019, according to a survey released by London-based Time Out magazine. At No. 3 on the list, Chicago (No. 3) was one place behind the Australian city of Melbourne (No. 2) and one above London (No. 4) in the United Kingdom. In 5th place is the City of Angeles, better known as Los Angeles, followed by our beloved Montreal in Canada. Berlin missed the top six but managed to grab the number seven spot while Scotland’s largest city Glasgow, took on number eight.

Magazine quizzed anonymous city-dwellers about food, drink, culture, nightlife, community, neighbourhoods, overall happiness and other factors, such as their city’s beauty, affordability, and convenience in their poll.
