AI will become like oxygen — everywhere and invisible – AI tech expert Oleksandr Khodorkovskyi on the future of Artificial Intelligence and overcoming technological fears

Artificial Intelligence continues to revolutionize our interaction with technology. Just at the turn of the year, OpenAI released a major update to ChatGPT, integrating more advanced features and expanding its capabilities. The latest version has increased user engagement by 50%, with millions of daily active users relying on AI for everything from drafting emails to analyzing large datasets. These progressions highlight the growing influence of AI in both personal and business contexts.
However, the potential of these technologies stretches far beyond everyday tasks. AI agents are now becoming indispensable tools for businesses, helping to streamline processes, enhance customer interactions, and unlock new growth opportunities. The rise of AI-powered platforms in industries like finance, healthcare, and marketing illustrates just how much businesses are leveraging AI to boost efficiency and stay competitive. We discussed current trends and future prospects with Oleksandr Khodorkovskyi, an expert in artificial intelligence and the founder of several innovative projects, including QuantumCore, a company specializing in the development of multidisciplinary AI agents and assistants. With years of experience scaling technologies and implementing AI solutions, Oleksandr shared his vision of how intelligent assistants are changing the world.
Oleksandr, let us start with an unusual question. You recently launched an AI powered project for dogs and dog owners. Why this particular field?
The main reason is that we see how AI can play a crucial role in understanding and caring for our dogs. It helps us interpret their behavior, anticipate their needs, and discover new insights that allow us to form stronger bonds with them. Additionally, AI can monitor their health, help them find friends, build more stable social connections, and even assist in selecting the right breed for potential owners. And that’s just the beginning—there is so much more AI can do to improve the lives of both dogs and their owners.
So, do you deliberately choose unconventional directions when applying AI?
Honestly, we don’t think dividing AI applications into ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ areas is right. We believe the proper convention is that AI helps optimize many aspects of life. The world of pets and animal care is particularly close to our team’s heart. It’s essential for us to engage in projects where we can fully immerse ourselves with passion and dedication. I see where you’re coming from—it’s true that developing AI agents for tax, edtech, medtech, and legaltech is more mainstream. But for us, AI is about creating meaningful impact in various fields, and we have other exciting initiatives in the works, which we will share soon.
Over the past year, your solutions have been implemented by more than 10 major companies, including several international corporations. Can you provide a concrete example of how your technology works?
Let me share a specific case. Recently, one of our corporate clients faced a challenge with a project that intersected marketing, logistics, and customer relations. Traditionally, they would have had to use three different systems and manually consolidate data. Our AI solution handled it all: analyzing marketing campaigns, optimizing supply chains, and simultaneously processing customer feedback. As a result, the company saved about x5 of the time spent on managing the project.
Your system works with diverse types of data simultaneously, such as customer interactions, financial data, and operational metrics. How do you address security concerns?
This is indeed a critical aspect. We developed a multi-layered security system where data from different departments is isolated, yet the AI can analyze it in a secure environment. Think of it as a safe with multiple compartments: each department has access only to its section, while our AI agent acts as a trusted banker who can work with all compartments simultaneously.
How do companies typically start implementing AI solutions?
What fears or biases do you encounter? You know, the most interesting thing is that the main fear isn’t the complexity of the technology but the fear of change. That’s why we always start small. For example, we initially launched an AI assistant in one company to analyze sales department reports. Within a month, employees asked to expand its functionality because they saw how much more straightforward their work became.
A somewhat clichéd, ‘Hollywood-style’ question: is there a risk that such intelligent assistants will replace humans?
That’s a great question, and while I don’t believe AI will fully replace humans, I also wouldn’t say the possibility is entirely zero. It’s similar to how calculators didn’t replace mathematicians but instead become indispensable tools that amplify human capabilities. AI should be seen as an enhancer, not a substitute. More importantly, I believe well-designed AI makes us more human—by automating routine tasks, it frees us to focus on creativity, meaningful communication, and solving truly impactful challenges.
You were one of the pioneers in the market to launch the development of multidisciplinary AI agents. What challenges did you face along the way?
Oh, it was a real puzzle! (Smiles) Imagine simultaneously teaching someone to be a chef, architect, and psychologist. The main challenge wasn’t even the technical part but teaching the system to switch between contexts correctly. We spent months ensuring the AI could seamlessly transition from analyzing financial reports to planning logistics while maintaining a holistic understanding of business processes.
QuantumCore has shown threefold growth over the past year, making a reputation of a promising AI startup. How do you see the industry developing in the next 5–10 years?
I wouldn’t be too original in saying this, but I truly believe we’re heading toward a future where AI and advanced computing will fundamentally reshape many aspects of our lives. We see the pace of technological progress accelerating, fundamentally transforming the way we live and work. Thanks to AI and predictive technology, many processes will be significantly optimized, enabling efficiencies we never thought possible. Undoubtedly, we should expect breakthroughs and discoveries that will change our lives and redefine industries. At the same time, we must be wise enough to maintain the proper focus and ensure that we do not create unnecessary risks for people in the process.
So, technology can make us better?
Exactly. At QuantumCore, we believe technology should simplify life, not complicate it. When AI takes over routine tasks, it gives people time to focus on what truly matters—creativity, communication, and caring for others. That’s the real magic of artificial intelligence—it helps us become more human.
Finally, tell us about the projects that inspire you personally.
You know, I’m particularly inspired by projects that solve real human problems. Recently, I learned about an AI system that helps restore forests after wildfires by analyzing satellite images and planning optimal reforestation sites. That’s truly impressive—when advanced technology serves a simple and meaningful purpose: making the world better. At QuantumCore, we strive to follow the same principle. Whether we’re creating a corporate assistant or a solution to understand dogs better, the most important thing is that the technology genuinely helps people.
