OHI Group Brings Paulo Couto to Lead OTA as Roberto Coimbra Steps Down to Become Board Director at OHI

OHI Group has revealed a significant leadership change at its Brazilian affiliate, Omni Táxi Aéreo (OTA), marking the beginning of a new chapter in 2025 following a successful and dynamic year in 2024.

As part of this strategic transition, Roberto Coimbra will step down as CEO of OTA to take on a new role as Board Director at OHI Group. In this capacity, he is expected to leverage his entrepreneurial mindset and extensive aviation expertise to support the company’s continued expansion. Additionally, he will spearhead the development of Omni Unmanned, positioning it as a global leader in UAV innovation.

Stepping into the role of CEO at OTA is Paulo Couto, formerly OHI Group’s Chief Transformation Officer. With over 25 years of experience in business transformation and strategic leadership across multiple industries, Couto brings a strong academic background, holding an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSc in Production Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.

In the coming weeks, Coimbra and Couto will collaborate closely to ensure a seamless transition, adhering to best practices in change management and strict compliance with local regulations.

Reflecting on Coimbra’s tenure, OHI Group CEO Jeremy Akel highlighted his instrumental role in expanding OTA from a single aircraft in 2001 to a fleet of approximately 80 aircraft today. He also expressed confidence in Couto’s ability to drive the company’s growth strategy while maintaining industry-leading safety standards, emphasizing his expertise in managing large organizations and high-performance teams.

With a continued focus on enhancing air mobility solutions, expanding its customer base, and embracing next-generation technologies, OHI remains committed to shaping the future of the industry.

The group expressed its deepest gratitude to Roberto Coimbra for his outstanding contributions and looks forward to an exciting future under its new leadership.
