ThoughtExchange Names George Psiharis as New CEO in Leadership Transition
British Columbia-based ThoughtExchange (Fulcrum Management Solutions Ltd.) has appointed George Psiharis as its new CEO, succeeding co-founder Dave MacLeod, who will now take on the roles of president and chief product officer. The announcement was made on Tuesday.
Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Rossland, B.C., ThoughtExchange employs over 100 people and provides a platform that enables crowdsourcing of ideas from groups ranging in size from 10 to 100,000. Among its notable past clients are American Airlines Inc. (Nasdaq: AAL) and McDonald’s Corp. (NYSE: MCD).
MacLeod, reflecting on the leadership change, stated that his initial intention had been to find a president and chief operating officer. However, he ultimately concluded that Psiharis was the ideal candidate to lead the company as CEO.
Psiharis brings significant leadership experience to the role, having previously served as chief operating officer of Clio (Themis Solutions Inc.), a Vancouver-based legal software firm. He also held the same position at AlayaCare, a Montreal-based home-care software company.
